Explore our range of landscaping membrane for ground preparation, weed control and separation beneath a variety of outdoor surfaces. Landscaping membrane provides a practical layer between the soil and finishing materials, helping reduce unwanted weed growth while supporting cleaner and more manageable garden areas.
Membrane can be installed beneath gravel, decorative stone, bark, decking, pathways, artificial grass and other landscaping finishes. It is commonly used around garden borders, raised beds, patios and general outdoor improvement projects where long-term ground control is required.
Our range may include woven weed-control membrane and other landscaping fabrics for different applications. Permeable options allow water and air to pass through while helping prevent weeds from growing up through the finished surface.
Available in selected widths, lengths and roll sizes, landscaping membrane is suitable for both smaller domestic projects and larger professional installations. Always check the individual product specifications and calculate the required coverage before ordering.

Choosing the Right Membrane
Choose the membrane according to the surface being installed and the amount of foot traffic the area will receive. Heavier-duty woven fabrics are generally more suitable beneath paths, gravel and frequently used landscaped areas.
Check whether water permeability is required for the project. Permeable membrane allows rainfall to drain through into the soil, making it suitable for most garden borders, paths and decorative surfaces.
Calculate the total area and include additional material for overlaps, edges and cutting around posts, plants and other garden features.
Installation
Clear the area of weeds, roots, sharp stones and debris before laying the membrane. Level and compact the ground where required, then roll the membrane across the prepared surface.
Overlap adjoining sections to help prevent gaps where weeds could emerge. Secure the membrane using suitable fixing pegs and carefully cut openings around plants, posts, drainage points and other features.
Cover the membrane with the chosen gravel, bark, stone or other finishing material. Avoid leaving the fabric exposed for longer than necessary and follow the product manufacturer’s installation guidance.
