The 1.83m (6ft) x 75mm x 32mm Heavy Duty Back Rail is a robust timber fencing rail designed to provide additional structural support for heavy-duty closeboard fencing. Its larger 75mm x 32mm section makes it particularly suitable for stronger fence panel construction, replacement work and traditional feather edge fencing where a heavier rail is required.
Manufactured from pressure-treated softwood, the rail is protected against rot, fungal decay and general outdoor weathering. The brown treatment gives the timber a traditional fencing appearance and coordinates naturally with feather edge boards, timber posts and wooden gravel boards.
The substantial 75mm x 32mm section provides a strong fixing surface for feather edge boards and helps create a rigid fencing structure. Its 1.83m length makes it well suited to standard 6ft-wide fencing arrangements and heavy-duty panel construction.

Installation
Position the back rails horizontally between suitable fence posts and ensure they are level before fixing. Secure the rails using suitable exterior-grade galvanised screws or nails appropriate for the installation.
Once the rails are securely fitted, feather edge boards can be fixed vertically across the rails with the required overlap to create the finished closeboard fence.
Apply a suitable end-grain treatment to any timber exposed by cutting or drilling. Timber is a natural material, so minor variations in colour, grain, knots and dimensions may occur.
