The feather edge boards are supported by robust 75mm x 32mm heavy duty timber back rails. These larger rails provide greater support and rigidity than those used on a standard closeboard panel, helping the panel resist movement and maintain its shape after installation.

A weather-capped top rail gives the panel a neat, professional finish while helping to protect the upper edge from direct exposure to rain. The timber is pressure treated brown to improve its resistance to rot, fungal decay and general outdoor weathering. The panel is assembled using 50-micron galvanised nails, providing strong and corrosion-resistant fixing throughout the construction.
