The 6ft x 12" Recessed Concrete Gravel Board is a strong and durable base board designed for use beneath compatible fence panels. It helps keep timber panels raised away from direct ground contact while creating a neat and substantial finish along the bottom of the fence run.
Manufactured from reinforced concrete, this gravel board is resistant to rot, decay and insect damage. Its recessed profile gives the face a traditional framed appearance and makes it a popular choice for closeboard, waney lap and decorative panel fencing.
Measuring approximately 1.83m long by 305mm high, with an approximate depth of 45–55mm, it is designed for use with compatible slotted concrete posts and suitable fencing systems. The 12-inch height can also be used to increase the overall finished fence height while protecting the lower edge of the timber panel.

This gravel board should only be used with posts and fencing components capable of accepting its dimensions and weight. Do not force the board into post slots, as this may damage the board or posts.
Installation
Install the gravel board between suitable slotted concrete posts before fitting the fence panel above. Ensure the posts are correctly spaced, level and securely set before lowering the board into place.
Concrete gravel boards are heavy and should be handled by enough people or with suitable lifting equipment. Support the board evenly during lifting and avoid dropping it into the post slots.
Check that the gravel board is level and properly supported before installing the fence panel. Take care around the edges and corners to reduce the risk of impact damage.
