The 8ft (2.4m) Concrete End Fence Post is a strong, wet-cast fencing post designed to create a secure and tidy finish at the beginning or end of a fence run. Manufactured from steel-reinforced concrete, it provides a durable alternative to timber end posts for domestic, commercial and landscaping projects.

This end post features a single slot designed to accept a compatible fence panel or gravel board from one side. It is used where a straight fence run finishes, helping retain the final panel securely while presenting a clean outer face.

With a substantial 125mm width and 100mm depth, the post provides dependable support while maintaining a practical profile. Its 2.4m overall length is suitable for a range of standard and taller panel-and-gravel-board combinations, subject to the required installation depth and finished fence height.

The smooth light-grey concrete finish coordinates well with slotted intermediate posts, corner posts, concrete gravel boards and a wide range of timber fence panels.

Choosing the Correct Post Length

The correct post length depends on the required finished fence height, the height of any gravel board and the amount of post that must be installed below ground. An 8ft end post is commonly used with standard-height fence panels and suitable gravel boards where enough post remains below ground for a secure foundation.

Before ordering, calculate the complete visible fence height and confirm that the selected fence panel and gravel board are compatible with the post slot.

Installation

Position the post at the beginning or end of the fence run with the slot facing towards the adjoining fencing. Check that the post is vertical and correctly aligned before securing it within the foundation.

Use suitable post mix or concrete around the base and support the post securely while the foundation sets. The required hole size and installation depth will depend on the fence height, ground conditions and local exposure.

Concrete end posts are heavy and should be handled by enough people or with suitable lifting equipment. Do not force fence panels or gravel boards into the slot, as this may damage the components or post.
