Jacksons Featherboard Convex fence panels feature an elegant upward arch, offering a distinctive alternative to flat-top or concave featherboard designs. Built for strength and durability, these panels are suitable for a wide range of garden styles and are particularly well suited to exposed or wind-prone locations.
Constructed using vertically fixed sawn timber pales, featherboard fencing is known for its durability and timeless appearance. The semi-solid design allows wind to pass through the panel, helping to reduce pressure during strong winds.
These convex featherboard panels are constructed with three horizontal rails, including new improved heavier top and bottom rails for added strength and stability. All fixings used throughout are stainless steel to ensure long-term performance and resistance to corrosion.
Manufactured from superior quality vacuum pressure treated Jakcure® softwood timber, the panels are guaranteed for 25 years and are designed for use with slotted Jakposts®.
The standard drop from the centre of the panel to each side is 150mm, creating the characteristic convex arch. Typical height variations are as follows:
Please note that dimensions may increase by up to 6% when first delivered, as the Jakcure® treatment process can temporarily cause the timber to swell. This will stabilise as the timber naturally dries.
To meet the conditions of the 25-year Jakcure® guarantee, gravel boards must be used where panels are in contact with the ground. This helps prevent moisture absorption and extends the life of the fencing system.
All featherboard convex panels are supplied at a standard width of 1.83m. If a narrower panel is required, it can be cut down on site using the Jacksons cut-down kit. Any cut ends must be treated with Jakcure® Cut Treatment to remain compliant with the 25-year guarantee guidelines.
