Jacksons Universal Field Gates, commonly referred to as Uni-Gates, are designed to be truly versatile. As the name suggests, these gates can be hung either left-handed or right-handed, making them ideal for a wide range of installations including driveways, field access and general agricultural use.

The gate is engineered for strength and longevity, featuring a heavy-duty top rail running the full width of the gate and a traditional cross-braced design. All joints are morticed and tenoned, with rail and brace crossings bolted using stainless steel fixings for added durability.

Gate Construction:

Both the hanging stile and slam stile are pre-drilled, allowing the gate to be hung on either the left or right as required. The stiles feature a rounded top profile, while the top bars are chamfered for a refined, traditional finish. All timber is planed to provide a smooth, high-quality appearance.

Supplied in a natural Jakcure® treated finish, these gates benefit from Jacksons’ proven pressure treatment process, offering long-term protection against rot and decay.

• Available widths: 0.9m to 4.2m
• Overall gate height: 1.27m
• Top rail size: 100mm x 75mm
• Under rail and cross braces: 75mm x 25mm
• Hanging and slam stiles: 100mm x 75mm (rounded top)
• Both stiles drilled to allow left or right-hand hanging
• Morticed and tenoned joints throughout
• Cross braced for additional strength
• Stainless steel bolts and fixings used throughout
• Supplied in natural Jakcure® treated finish

Handing & Bracing Information:

Narrow Uni-Gates (under 2.1m wide), when hung in pairs, are supplied with left-handed bracing when viewed from the front as standard. Opposite handing is available at no extra cost. If a matching, symmetrical braced pair is required, please add a note in the special instructions at checkout.
